Oscar Ortiz
Oscar Ortiz was born in New York City, raised in Puerto Rico, and currently resides in North Carolina. As a youngster, he was often assigned by teachers to work on art projects for the school. He counted it all pure joy creating art while making people happy through his paintings and drawings.

After decades of dormancy, Oscar walked into a Comic Art Convention with his wife and was mesmerized by the sight and sound of pencils against the papers while viewing hundreds of artists from booth to booth totally involved with the work.

The experience woke him up from a deep sleep with a conviction to return to his art.

We honor his lovely wife, Wina, for being so supportive and encouraging Oscar to practice, explore, read, study, learn different techniques, welcome new ideas and connect with artists of different mediums from all generations.

Commissions
After only two years of returning, Oscar was commissioned for his first piece. Several exhibitions and commissions followed the first one, selling 10 pieces in less than six months. It was a sure sign for Oscar that he is a fine Artist and his return to the art world was the right move.
